Tong Kang (Bumboat)

During my time at the Singapore Tourism Board, I had the opportunity to rebuild a historic tongkang bumboat — a vessel that once sailed the waters of the Singapore River — as part of an interactive AR experience designed for a new era of tourism.
The goal was to invite visitors to explore and tinker with the various parts of the boat, uncovering the history and rich cultural heritage behind these trading vessels, whose legacy has slowly faded from living memory.
